Experience Raced as a junior in the 80s primarily in Sacramento Valley and surrounding foothills, accomplishing little more than a robust appreciation for competitive cycling. Participated in handful of races against large and unfriendly Northern Europeans in what was then West Germany following high school, after which I abandoned my dream to achieve at least mediocrity in competitive cycling. Raced several multi-sport events in college and after graduate school—decided I really only enjoyed the cycling portion of the races.
