time. It did not take much. It was the color, the internationalism, the
excitement, the danger of it, the youth, the vulnerability of people on
bicycles, with nothing but this thin layer of Lycra, the fact that they
were riding on tires that were made out of silk, there was all sorts of
romance to it that I hadn't really seen before.”
